Hey there, I’m Everett. I am the co-owner of Madera Canine Care. I grew up all around the Anchorage, Alaska area. I met Savannah when she and I worked together at the veterinary clinic in my hometown, and I relocated to Arizona when she moved home.
My hobbies include bicycling, computer games, and tinkering with our new mobile van. I have been a lifelong lover of animals and have almost always worked in the veterinary clinic setting. I really enjoy the animal medicine and customer service aspect of the profession. I’ve worked alongside some fantastic veterinarians and licensed technicians and I am grateful for the opportunity to help our community any way I can.
Hi! I’m Savannah and I am also the co-owner of Madera Canine Care. I am a native Tucsonan who cultivated a love of animals and communication at a very young age. I spent my early years studying everything there was to know about how to train animals; dolphins to be exact. I fell in love with the ability to communicate with an animal through the art of positive reinforcement, and it became my dream job.
I graduated from Rincon High School (Go Rangers!), and after a few years of college, life took me to Anchorage, Alaska. I spent 6 years in the beautiful state where I managed a veterinary hospital and never mastered how to drive in the snow or how to fish. After the worst winter on record, it was time to return home to Arizona.
Shortly after returning home, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Reid Park Zoo’s Elephant Program. After 3 months, my childhood dream came true when I was offered a position as an Apprentice Zookeeper. A year later, I was promoted to a full-time Elephant Trainer; eventually becoming a Lead Trainer. My 7+ years with the elephants and the team is indescribable. If ever we meet and all you want to do is talk about elephants, I will happily oblige.
My family and I relocated to Green Valley in 2017. I wanted to work closer to home once we moved. Everett was already thriving as a veterinary technician at the Animal Care Center of Green Valley, so I was thrilled when they hired me in their reception and daycare departments. It’s where I fell in love with the Green Valley community, and it’s where, together with my husband, our dream was born.
Everett and I enjoy a low-key life with our family and our 6 dogs. Thank you for reading and getting to know a little about me. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Our 2018 Dodge ProMaster came to us by way of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Why? Best deal and no availabilities in Arizona. The biggest selling point is that it's an abandoned tiny home project. So a lot of the equipment it came with, we benefited from!

To help manage the electrical load, our mobile van is sun-powered!
And we are only getting started. We look forward to sharing our mobile engineering as well as design achievements (and epic failures) and are happy to let you peak inside any time during your appointment.

Unfortunately, we do not. We value our time together in our home and know we would never see each other if we offered this service. There are very many qualified overnight sitters in the Green Valley area!
No. Qualified trainers go through months and years of schooling and practice it every day with their clients. They make it their life's work. It was my life's work when I was with the elephants, and I still apply what I learned daily. However, while I have a sturdy grasp on positive reinforcement training and will talk about it all day long, I leave the application of it to the current professionals.
Why, yes! Give us a call and let's discuss.
